Siberian Larch Board (Charred)

Description

The Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique of deep charring provides a stable, durability enhancing charred surface that is both stylish and modern.

A durability class 3 timber Charred Siberial Larch can be expected to give a long service life. It is also ideal for Cladding.

The timber is delivered deep Charred and brushed, further treatment is optional. Oiling with a Linseed Oil or Osmo PolyX will make it shine. As delivered there is a light surface charcoal dust that can be washed off or else will naturally disperse.

Use stainless fixings (either black screws or brad nails); avoid nailing too close to the ends to prevent splitting.
